Dr. Carri Hampton

has been at Blue Flint Animal Hospital since March 2001. Prior to her employment at Blue Flint she worked as a mixed animal practitioner in Rockingham, NC.

A native of southern Davidson County, Dr. Hampton graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Animal Science. She also obtained minors in both, Nutrition and Poultry Science. While completing her undergraduate studies, she was involved in many collegiate organizations. She was on the NCSU Collegiate Livestock Judging Team, Vice President and President of the NCSU Animal Science Club, and Reporter for the Agri- Life Council.

Dr. Hampton graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. While in veterinary school, she served in multiple leadership roles in the Student Chapter of the AABP (American Association of Bovine Practitioners). She was also actively involved in the Student Chapter of AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). For 2 years, Dr. Hampton worked for the Iams Company as a student representative for NCSU CVM. She served as a resource and liaison for research information on Iams pet products. Her senior year, Dr. Hampton received multiple awards in Equine Medicine. Fresh out of school, Dr. Hampton joined a mixed animal practice in Rockingham, NC. She truly enjoyed large and small animal medicine but the challenge and intrigue of small animal medicine won her heart and she joined Blue Flint in 2001.

Currently, Dr. Hampton practices and manages full time. She has special interests in Dermatology, Geriatric Medicine, and Practice Management. Dr. Hampton also enjoys small exotic medicine especially ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds.

Dr. Hampton is a devoted Christian, active in her church and loves the outdoors. She teaches a Children’s Sunday School Class each Sunday and is a group leader for a Women’s Missionary Organization Group. She also, actively serves on the Children’s Committee. Dr. Hampton is working with her husband and two daughters to develop their 184 acre farm into a working and productive cattle operation. She claims 2 four legged family members, Cheyenne and Cindy.

Dr. Jennifer Massey Matherly

is an associate veterinarian at Blue Flint Animal Hospital. Dr. Matherly received her Bachelor of Sciences from Auburn University in 2003 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2008. 

Dr. Matherly moved to Burlington, NC upon graduation from veterinary school and began practicing in emergency medicine. From there, she traveled throughout the Triad region working as a relief veterinarian prior to joining Blue Flint in December 2009.

Dr. Matherly loves both equine and small animal medicine. Her main interests include small animal internal and preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and abdominal ultrasound.

Dr. Matherly currently lives in Whitsett, NC with her husband, Jason, and their daughter, Massey. In her spare time she enjoys time together with her family. She enjoys anything outdoors, working on their small farm, and Auburn Football. Her family has 6 four legged children – Hunter, their lovable and handsome golden retriever; Bootsie, their mischievous and independent cat: Moses, their quiet and shy Sheltie; and 3 horses. 


Dr. Singleterry

grew up in Charlottesville, VA.  She moved to North Carolina to attend Duke University and fell in love with the state.  She graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and joined a mixed animal practice. 

From there she transitioned to small animal medicine and practiced in South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.  Returning to settle in NC, she joined Blue Flint Animal Hospital in June 2019. 

Outside of work, Dr. Singleterry enjoys being involved at her church, riding horses and spending time with her 3 kids.  She shares her farm with her children, 3 horses, 4 goats, a dog, 2 cats and a guinea pig.

Dr Isaacs

graduated from Tuskegee University, and is originally from Arkansas. After practicing in Greensboro and Raleigh for many years, Dr. Isaacs returned to Blue Flint Animal Hospital part time, specializing in ultrasonography, echocardiograms, and specialty surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Isaacs loves taking cooking classes.
